The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Global Nutrition and Health (GNH) at Metropolitan University College is recruiting a student assistant to create meaningful content to our students and stakeholders. Our focus is creating content and publishing interesting stories about our programme on social media and our blog.

The best candidate is always prepared and posseses the appropriate knowledge on communication and preferably experience for creating relevant messages to specific target groups.

You are going to work at Pustervig, 8, 1126 Copenhagen K where the programme is based.

The GNH programme is a 3.5-year international higher education programme taught in English, focusing on global challenges within health and nutrition. Students are equipped to enter the international labour market and so the international aspect of our social media is essential. You will be working directly with the Head of Department and with the GNH Communication Coordinator.

Job description

The position includes a variety of tasks within web-based communication.
Managing and creating content for our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Tumblr
Keeping our GNH Blog updated with relevant stories that follow our communication plan
Managing the GNH Students Ambassadors programme
Providing general assistance and input for our communication strategy through relevant ideas, plans and initiatives
Taking photos and shooting simple videos of events such as Open House and Graduation Ceremony
Creating, managing and developing good ideas for promoting our programme nationally and internationally

Working hours are 8-12 hours per week and can be planned to match your study schedule.

The ideal candidate

You are a Master’s student with at least one year left of your studies
You hold relevant experience in working with social media and communication
Your English language skills are advanced
You are pro-active, organised, independent and very creative
You have the ability to quickly acquaint yourself with new information and technology, and you enjoy facing challenges in a multicultural environment.
You are an open-minded person happy to interact with your colleagues, students and prospect students.
We are looking for someone who is able to capture stories from informal conversations.
You don’t need to be a designer, a professional photographer or an experienced art director, however you have a basic knowledge about one or several of these fields.

Salary and employment conditions

You will be employed under the current agreement between HK and the Ministry of Finance.
The hourly paid wage will depend on previous employment within clerical occupation. The lowest paid hourly rate is DKK 116 per hour and the highest paid hourly rate is DKK 125 per hour.
